Legislation

Aged Care service providers must comply with more than 80 pieces of State and Federal legislation.

The ACS SA&NT Legislation Update Package identifies priority areas of legislation to assist aged care providers to meet accreditation standards and to comply with legal requirements. While it is not necessary for residential aged care facilities to have every piece of Legislation listed kept on the premises, providers will be required to show the Accreditation Agency that the service is aware of these pieces of Legislation and the operations are pursuant to the legislation. Every subscriber will receive an annual statement for Accreditation purposes.
