ACS Bushfire Risk Management Plan for Community Care Providers
The ACS Community Care Committee, in preparation for the next bushfire season has developed a Bushfire Risk Management Plan for Community Care Providers. The plan was developed in consultation with the Country Fire Service (CFS) as well as with the Local Government Association.
The Pandemic Influenza Business Continuity Plan: A Guide for Aged Care Providers has been developed by Aged & Community Services SA & NT Inc (ACS), on behalf of the ACSA Federation, to support the aged care industry with their commitment to client care, in making a comprehensive and long term plan in order to minimise disruption to services and to protect the health and wellbeing of employees and residents/clients. The aim of this Guide is to assist aged care providers to develop business continuity plans that will work for their organisation. Each organisation functions differently and has different services and clients. The information in the Guide is necessarily generic and will need to be adapted to meet the circumstances of each organisation. What is important is that all organisations have a preparedness plan in place to enable smooth and timely implementation of activities if/when a pandemic occurs.
The desired outcome of the Plan is to achieve effective preparations and response through clarity, process familiarity and confidence for staff and other stakeholders.
The plan (Version 2) is a PDF document but there are 3 documents (BPI Planing Framework, BPI Checklist & Notification Forum) within the plan that members may wish to use for their own recording purposes (click on links and complete a Save As).
As more information comes to hand about Pandemic Influenza, ACS will update this section of the website.
If you wish to discuss this document please contact Peta Braendler (Community Services Manager) on 8338 7111.
